Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm a writer and a photographer living in a small house with a husband, two dogs and two cats. I collect things like tshirts and stuffed animals. I like audiobooks while I drive, which I do a lot because I'm in the SCA. I have a youtube channel unboxing lootcrates. I have schizoaffective disorder, but the mood symptoms are largely dealt with with meds and it's mostly just psychotic symptoms now.

Top 5 Fandoms:
seaQuest DSV, Firefly, MCU, HP, Star Trek

I mostly post about: Day to day life which currently includes a partial hospitalization program, writing, volunteering at an aquarium and zoo, as well as volunteering reading to a 3rd grade boy at his school. I'm learning to play golf, and learning to play the recorder. You may eventually get youtubes of me playing the recorder. But first I need to learn how to read music. lol. I go swimming fairly often. I'm in the SCA. Occasionally I get off my but and go to Synagogue. I'm a photographer. I also talk about what I'm reading, which at the moment and for the foreseeable future, includes reading the entire Bible one chapter a night and summing it up in a few sentences of "WTF?" once a week on my Wednesday reading meme. I also post music every Monday, and writing every Tuesday, and unboxing videos every Saturday. I'm also in the middle of a 365 day meme, which will not actually take me 365 days because I keep skipping questions for being too stupid to bother with.

I rarely post about: politics (although every once in awhile it comes up), my husband's dysfunctional family,

My last three posts were about: Weekly reading meme, my partial hospitalization program, taking the dog to the vet, and writing, considering starting a 101 in 1001 list.

How often do you post?: Daily

How about commenting?: I read every day, multiple times a day, but I'm not always the best about commenting. I'll comment if I have something to add, but I won't comment just to comment on every single entry (and tend to get annoyed with people who do that),

looking for fan friends :)

Guess who salvaged a raw wood bookshelf off the side of the road today?  Really nice one too!  It just needed a quick wash, barely any dust or cobwebs on it at all.  Solid wood, no back, but well-built and surprisingly light!  Maybe one of the neighbor people made it, and decided they didn't want it anymore?

Anyway, I've given it to Sneak.  I'll get zer a new thing of gel medium or ModPodge  or something, and ze plans to decorate it like ze did the last one.  Ze's pretty psyched!

I feel like a successful big brother today.  Also a successful cheapskate.

I'm a 33 year old Scottish woman, trying to get my journal groove back. I'm a mum of three boys from teen to newborn, and work in healthcare but (thankfully) I'm on maternity leave just now. I mainly write about daily life, the struggles and highlights of attempting to adult and parent and be healthy as a highly strung, stressed over-thinker who doesn't like herself most of the time.

Wow, I sound fun.  Should I mention that there will be wine, gin and chocolate?

I was obsessed with my Livejournal back in the day - I started it back in 2003 and even though I've only dipped in and out of it in recent years, writing is still very much how I make sense of my life and my mind. That's why I'm trying to reignite that obsession I once had...though it's difficult with increasing grown up responsibilities and shrinking time of my own to put pen to paper fingers to keyboard.  But I know I need the chance to record snatches of life as it flies past, and an outlet for when my mental health takes a dive.

I swear and I like to write no-holds-barred.  I'm very liberal and support choice - be that choice of who you love, choice over your reproductive options, or just the freedom to chose what you're going to watch on telly tonight. I'm doing my Masters in weight management so I try to live healthily through fitness (like dancing and weight training, albeit on a very beginner level) and healthy eating, but more often than not find myself alone amongst the crumbs at the bottom of a packet of biscuits. I'm book obsessed (mainly literary fiction and never fantasy, chick-lit, or much sci-fi), love a good tv series (Mr Robot, Stranger Things, The Handmaid's Tale, OITNB, Top of the Lake and Homeland have been recent highlights), and sometimes I even get out to see friends.  Some or none of this may come out in my writing.

Along with a lack of time, I guess part of why I've lost touch with my journal has been my shrinking friends list.  It's hard to make time to update when it feels increasingly like you're just shouting into a void. So I'd love it if anyone out there who is in a similar place in life or who is into similar things would like to take a punt on my journal.  I wont promise a very active journal but I am going to try, and I'm also going to try and be a good friend in return.

It's a good job I've been with my husband for ten years, because I'd suck at filling out a dating profile.  Feel free to swipe left (or is it right...? I'm not on Tinder).

[Arc Start] Gotta love when most parodies of Puyo Puyo when mixed with music are all the chain shouts overlayed rhythmically to the songs in question. XD

Hello there! My name is Tianmorillilsaflori; I'm Narvinectralonum's cousin (Earth terminology would place me as his sister, as we both have the same loommakers). Narvin's rather upset right now because of an influx of memories of a certain Irving Braxiatel, so I'm typing this up as this body's brain tends to forget quite a bit and Narvin would like to...well, not forget all the horrible things this atrocity of a Time Lord did to him.

Please view the "Music" listed for insight as to what triggered such memories. Also I'm terribly sorry if I missed any trigger warnings - please comment and let me know so I can add them to the title and tags.

Subscription/Access Policy: Friend away! I'm always looking for new friends to talk to. As for access, I grant almost everyone that subscribes to me. If I ever lock something it'll be something really personal and might be trigger-y. I will always warn if I do post something of that nature. There's no pressure to grant me access back.

Fannish Interests: Gosh, okay, I like a lot of things. But I also need to catch up on a lot of things. That's my problem.

I watch a lot of tv. Right now I'm watching shadowhunters and deciding if I want to catch up on Teen Wolf or not. My love for Scott McCall is enternal though.

I really enjoy pokemon,  digimon,  yugioh,  sailor moon, power rangers, tf&f series, harry potter, kingdom hearts, and classic spn. all of those were my fandoms before I ever knew what fandom meant. i am casually into new doctor who but Ten was my first doctor and my favorite era. I'm always there for the companions the most though and I love bill potts so much. i love sherlock holmes adaptations but i gotta say my favorite is elementary. i'm also into low energy video games so pretty much anything nintendo and the sims. I'm a little obsessed with the sims and the fandom it has on youtube. just a little. Superheroes are cool too! I like the mcu and dcu but i haven't watched all of it yet bc reasons. Omg star wars is a big one lately too. and the new Star Trek and hopefully the new series!! as for cartoons steven universe is like the best thing that ever happened to me probably. aaaand books!! gosh do i hope to actually start to read books. The last full thing I read that wasn't fanfiction was the hunger games.

sp in summary i love anything cheesy, ridiculous, and about friendship :D

I Like To Post About: honestly? cute animals. cats especially. no but i'll post about all the things i care about and I might to do reaction posts to show or movie etc. I hope to at least post fic or a rec or just journaling in general! I'm trying to find my place in dreamwidth after being on tumblr for so long now.

About Me/Other Info: I'm an ace nonbinary (she/they pronouns) lesbian. I'm autistic, mentally ill, and have chronic pain & illness. I'm infp, capricorn, and a hufflepuff.

hurt/comfort is my whole life. It's like my one true kink. I love reading it, writing it, having discussions about it, reading meta about, you get it. It's my jam.

I'll mostly comment on stuff for a while probably. I have a strict rule that is if I see an entry/read a fic/etc I comment on it. <3

Saying goodbye, saying hello.

First of all: Trevor Baxter, aka Professor George Litefoot of Jago & Litefoot, passed away today.

I fell in love with the character when I was a kid.

My mother held him up as an example of truly good manners. There's a great moment in Talons of Weng-Chiang when he's sharing his table with Leela, and she picks up a joint of meat with her hands and bites into it like a barbarian. There's a split second of horror in his face, but he blinks, hides it, and instead of shaming his guest resolutely puts down his knife and fork and follows suit, picking up his own meat with his hands. Because the polite thing is to make guests feel welcome.

I don't know if that was in the script or Trevor Baxter improvving, but Litefoot was clearly very close to his heart, and he's had a ball the last nine years recording thirteen series!!! of Jago and Litefoot in his old age. Big Finish has a nice bio and tributes to him from fellow actors here.

Also, if you haven't heard it, the March Short Trip was the Tenth Doctor stopping by to visit Prof. Litefoot, and the trailer contains a truly moving clip that captures the essence of both Litefoot and the Doctor. It's quick; give a listen. It's probably the last thing Baxter ever recorded.

I drew a portrait of him (above) for my daily practice. I've been posting 1 hour sketches for about a week now, mostly Doctor Who companions.

As for the big news...

Romana's edit of My Immortal

Hi my name is Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Romana Way and I have long blonde hair (that's how I got my name) with gold streaks and red tips that reaches my mid-back and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Lalla Ward (AN: if u don't know who she is get da hell out of here!). I'm not related to Noah Way but I wish I was because they're a major fucking hottie. I'm a vampire but my teeth are straight and white.

I have pale white skin. I'm also a witch, and I live on Gallifrey where I'm in the President of the High Council. (I'm 125). I'm a goth (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today Iwas wearing a black corset with matching lace around it and a black leather miniskirt, pink fishnets and black combat boots. Iwas wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside the Panopticon. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. Inquisitor Darkel stared at me. I put up my middle finger at her.

"Hey Romana!" shouted a voice. I looked up. It was…. Narvin Malfoy!

"What's up Narvin?" I asked.

"Nothing." he said shyly.

But then, I heard the Council call me and I had to go away.

My friend, Willow (AN: Leela dis is u!) woke up then and grinned at me. She flipped her long waist-length raven black hair with pink streaks and opened her forest-green eyes. She put on her Marilyn Manson t-shirt with a black mini, fishnets and pointy high-heeled boots. We put on our makeup (black lipstick white foundation and black eyeliner.)

"OMFG, I saw you talking to Narvin Malfoy yesterday!" she said excitedly.

"Yeah? So?" I said, blushing.

"Do you like Narvin?" she asked as we went out of the Slytherin common room and into the Great Hall.

"No I so fucking don't!" I shouted.

"Yeah right!" she exclaimed. Just then, Narvin walked up to me.
"Hi." he said.

"Hi." I replied flirtily.

"Guess what." he said.

"What?" I asked.

"Well, Good Charlotte are having a concert in Hogsmeade." he told me.

"Oh. My. Fucking. God!" I screamed. I love GC. They are my favorite band, besides MCR.

"Well…. do you want to go with me?" he asked.

I gasped.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm fairly new here, but not new to fandom. I write fanfiction and I fandom-hop without rhyme or reason. I'm currently in a lot of small fandoms, and I love to add more, so feel free to try to get me obsessed with your favorite fandom. IRL, I'm a sleep scientist who doesn't sleep enough. I talk about my girlfriend a lot.

Top 5 Fandoms:
I'm going to cheat, but in my defense, I am in so many fandoms...
Small video game fandoms (Oxenfree, Stardew Valley, and Primordia)
Boku No Hero Academia
The Goblin Emperor
Harry Potter (always... never hop away from this one)
Haikyuu!!

I mostly post about: Fanfiction, logic puzzles, fandom things. I'll probably start posting about my life at some point, but those won't be public

I rarely post about: politics, specifics about my work.

How often do you post?: Not much right now - I'm new here. But I imagine I'll be posting at least once every week, if not more.

How about commenting?: I'm good about commenting when I'm feeling social, but sometimes I don't have the energy. I like making friends and being friendly though, so I try.

I dropped off the map again for a couple of weeks to deal with some personal issues.

I went permanent at my job. I am now a regular employee again, after seven years of being a contractor - which in the USA is basically indentured servitude with few or no medical benefits, and no sick or vacation time, with dismissal at a moments' notice a cold, hard fact once the company one is indentured to is no longer meeting the bottom line.

I worked for two companies between 2010-2017, both of which worked me until I broke (I had depressive breaks/anxiety) and then threw me out like worn out light bulb. After having had the promise of permanent tenure dangled in front of me by both companies for seven years, and then yanked away, my newest position just gave it to me after three months of employment there.

I'm grateful and ecstatic, but I also weep for what this means for our current capitalist system. And I'm still dealing with the psychological fallout from the last two positions, over the last seven years.

Last summer, I felt so dehumanized - mainly over the fact that I had bronchitis for a month and was not allowed to take any sick time, and was then berated for how my performance suffered and then let go.

The American dream was dead for me, as it is for so many people...people who "punch down" instead of punching up, who blame those who are even less fortunate that they are instead of "the masters" (because they still envision themselves as being "a master" one day - as the quote attributed to John Steinbeck goes, America is full of "temporarily embarrassed millionaires.")

However, I have discovered that I need major surgery to correct the issue with my uterine fibroids, and when the surgery finally happens I will be out for six weeks. This was non negotiable. After I got caught up financially from my last period of unemployment, I went to the gyno finally to talk about my options. The pain has been getting worse over the past year.

I have told my boss. I am trying to save up enough money to cover expenses, as I have not been there long enough to apply for a leave of absence, and hoping that the pain is manageable until then.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Aquarius, INFP, dog person, never completely outgrew my goth phase but sometimes wear pink. I write fanfics, mostly for exchanges. I like monsters and space. In the real, basic, practical, flesh-and-blood, real-world I am: female (she/her), Christian, bisexual, socialist-leaning, a teacher, and from the southern United States. I do not do well with excessive sunlight, pineapple, disparaging remarks about religion (any, including my own), or people trying to make others feel bad about things that make them happy.

Top 5 Fandoms:

- Doctor Who
- Avatar: The Last Airbender
- Like three anime in one interconnected pile (Steins;Gate, Puella Magi Madoka Magic & Fate)
- MCU
- ??? Carmilla? It really depends on the day. I love Wonder Woman right now.

I mostly post about: ... Dear Author Letters. So far. 95% of what I do on the internet is fandom-related. I hope to keep talking about fandom in a responsive, more connected community than tumblr has provided in years. I hope to rewatch some fandoms I've lost touch with soon, though I will be starting work in a few weeks. Fandom with a dash of my daily personal monologue.

I rarely post about: Political or religious stuff outside a positive context.

My last three posts were about: I'm writing a fandom autobiography to get in the habit of posting on my dreamwidth.

How often do you post?: It's hard to say since I'm new to this. Most days this week. If you want to check out how I sort of blog you can check my tumblr's blogging tag.

How about commenting?: I believe in commenting with my whole heart. I really want to establish some friendships and conversationships here. When it comes to fic, I won't promise I'll read everything, but if I read it, I will always comment.

A GIF to describe how your day has been so far: Really uneventful day, so here's a gif that shows my overall personality. (I overidentify with Carmilla oops.)
